| چکیده | ||
| پیشینه و اهداف: جغرافیای تاریخی، بهعنوان حوزهای میانرشتهای، به بررسی پویاییهای تعامل انسان و محیط در بستر زمان میپردازد. این رشته با تلفیق روشهای جغرافیا و تاریخ، در پی بازسازی چشماندازهای طبیعی-فرهنگی گذشته، تحلیل تحولات مکانی-زمانی و تبیین روابط علی و معلولی بین عوامل جغرافیایی و رویدادهای تاریخی است. هدف اصلی این پژوهش، ارائه تحلیلی جامع از مفهوم، رویکردها، روشها و کاربردهای جغرافیای تاریخی با تأکید بر حوزه ایرانشناسی است.روشها: این تحقیق با رویکرد توصیفی-تحلیلی و با استفاده از مطالعات کتابخانهای و تحلیل محتوای منابع معتبر انجام شده است. یافتهها: یافتهها نشان میدهد که جغرافیای تاریخی فراتر از توصیف موقعیتهای مکانی گذشته، بر تحلیل فرآیندهای تغییر فضایی و تعامل انسان و محیط تأکید دارد و بازسازی دقیق شرایط تاریخی را مستلزم بهرهگیری از دادههای دستاول، شواهد باستانشناختی و فناوریهای نوین تحلیلی مانند سامانه اطلاعات جغرافیایی (GIS) میداند. این دانش در تبیین الگوهای استقرارگاهی، شبکههای مبادلاتی، دگرگونیهای محیطی و مدیریت پایدار منابع، نقش اساسی در برنامهریزی آینده و صیانت از میراث فرهنگی ایفا میکند. همچنین، پژوهش حاضر به نقد روششناختی آثار موجود در حوزه ایرانشناسی پرداخته و راهکارهایی برای ارتقای کیفیت پژوهشها ارائه میدهد. نتیجهگیری: در نهایت، جغرافیای تاریخی بهعنوان پلی میان گذشته و آینده، نه تنها درک عمیقتری از تاریخ فضامحور فراهم میآورد، بلکه بینشهای ارزشمندی برای مواجهه با چالشهای محیطی و فرهنگی معاصر ارائه مینماید. | ||

| Background and Objectives:Historical geography, as an interdisciplinary field, studies human-environment interaction over time. By combining geography and history, it reconstructs past natural-cultural landscapes, analyzes spatial-temporal developments, and explains causal relationships between geographical factors and historical events. The main goal is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the concept, approaches, methods, and applications of historical geography with an emphasis on Iranology. Methods:This research used a descriptive-analytical approach based on library studies and content analysis of reliable sources. Findings:Historical geography goes beyond describing past locations; it emphasizes analyzing spatial change processes and human-environment interaction. Accurate reconstruction of historical conditions requires primary data, archaeological evidence, and modern technologies such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This field plays a fundamental role in explaining settlement patterns, exchange networks, environmental changes, and sustainable resource management, contributing to future planning and cultural heritage preservation. The study also offers a methodological critique of existing works in Iranology and provides solutions for improving research quality. Conclusion:Historical geography serves as a bridge between the past and the future. It not only deepens our understanding of space-based history but also offers valuable insights for addressing contemporary environmental and cultural challenges. | ||
